We all know the incredible health benefits of yoga – improved flexibility, better heart health, increased detox, and so on…but have you ever gone to YouTube determined to start practicing yoga, only to feel completely out of your depth once the yogi starts contorting her body in some ungodly manner? After scouring through hundreds of YouTube videos to find ones that have me excitedly, not begrudgingly, unrolling my yoga mat every morning, I realized that many videos are far too advanced for the average person with limited-to-no flexibility. Not only is it easy to injure oneself doing physical activity the body isn’t ready for, it’s also a surefire way to stop you from ever wanting to try yoga again.
